Responses to Frequently Asked Questions
Dear Members,
We have received an increasing number of inquiries regarding the GpayBack MasterCard, which we would like to clarify for everyone.
- Is it possible to trade USDT on Binance in Germany?
Since the end of 2020, Binance has partially restricted its services in Germany, particularly in the areas of futures and derivatives, due to regulatory requirements from BaFin (Federal Financial Supervisory Authority). However, spot trading, i.e., direct trading of cryptocurrencies such as USDT (Tether), remains possible.
This means that in Germany, you can trade USDT on Binance against other cryptocurrencies, as long as you are using the spot market. There may be restrictions, for example, on depositing and withdrawing fiat currencies or accessing certain financial services. - How can I convert Euros into USDT on Binance?
Due to current regulatory restrictions, you may not be able to directly convert Euros (EUR) into USDT (Tether). Instead, you can deposit Euros into Binance and convert them into USDC (USD Coin), as this coin is available for trading.
You can then trade USDC for USDT on the Binance spot market by using the appropriate trading pair (e.g., USDC/USDT). This allows you to indirectly convert Euros into USDT by adding the USDC step. - Can I use the GpayBack card with Tron?
No, the card can only be funded with USDT via various blockchains, either through the Binance Chain (BEP20) or the Tron Chain (TRC20). - Who, besides Wirex, offers USDT on the Tron Blockchain?
Several platforms and wallets in Europe support the Tron (TRX) blockchain. Here are some of the most well-known:- TronLink: A popular wallet available as a browser extension and mobile app, ideal for using DApps on the Tron blockchain.
- Trust Wallet: A mobile multi-wallet that supports many cryptocurrencies, including Tron, and offers a user-friendly interface.
- Ledger Nano S/X: Hardware wallets offering high security for Tron tokens and other cryptocurrencies, particularly suitable for long-term storage.
- Atomic Wallet: A multi-wallet with an intuitive interface that supports TRX and other cryptocurrencies.
Well-known exchanges such as Binance, Kraken, and OKX also offer trading and storage of TRX. Binance and Kraken are especially popular due to their low fees and high security standards. For more information, you can check Coingecko.
We continue to work with Binance and Trust Wallet.
- Why Tron?
If you own the GpayBack card and refer others (i.e., share your referral link), you earn 10%, 7%, and 3% commission in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generations, respectively. These commissions, which are credited to you in the Gpay dashboard, must be withdrawn to an external wallet in order to be used. For this, you need a USDT wallet with TRC20, i.e., on the Tron blockchain.
You can then reload your USDT onto the card and spend them. Your USDT (TRC20) wallet must first be registered in your GpayBack account under “Wallet.” Afterward, you can withdraw your rewards/commissions (minimum amount: $30) to this wallet.
I hope this information is helpful.
P.S.: The recording of the first part of the “Heisser Stuhl” webinar is available under Videos.
Best regards,
Ralf
